Really stoked out how it turned out in the end and learnt heaps in the process :)

Quick Whinge

So pushing myself to the limit the other week must have sent me mad.... I have taken on another out there cake due on Saturday. It's a teapot cake with gumpaste teacups and saucers and right now I am not doing so great with the teacups (grrr) I may just bite the bullet and make them out of polymer clay if i cant get it right by tomorrow. At least if its ugly we can still eat cake :)

It's Over

The most manic crafti week ever in my life is over and I have had a decent sleep... life is back to normal!

Here are some pics of the finished projects.

The cake - my first first two tier, first wedding cake, first time working with fondant - all and all I think it came out pretty awesome - and tasted good too :)
Talk about pressure though lol.


The first flower girls dress (my daughter Ava), I also made over her shoes with red glitter and mod podge.

And last but certainly not least the wedding dress (well the skirt as the corset was a purchased one). The photos don't do it justice but these are just the happy snaps grabbed while we could.

Time for me to clean my studio up after cyclone wedding hit it, then get cracking into a craft swap I'm in :)

I am not defeated.... yet!

So I am battling my way through a pettiskirt but getting the required bulk in the right areas is proving more difficult than desired - in fact need more fabric, which will have to wait till tomorrow, so today I shall play good housewife and clean - fun, fun, fun!

If I am lucky I am going to sneak in a few hours sewing the flower girls dresses.
